Today, we held our first community connect information session as part of our refugee resettlement program for the newly arrived refugees from Afghanistan at Blacktown Library Function Centre.

Our aim at The Massoud Foundation Australia is to provide aid for the newly arrived refugees and support their transition smoothly into their communities. This community connection was to introduce these families to established services within Blacktown City Council.

We had the privilege of hosting various government and non-government organizations such as STARTTS, Centrelink (Services Australia), Legal Aid NSW, MCC Macquarie Community College, Australian Red Cross, MatchWorks, and Blacktown Police to provide the necessary information on a range of available programs and support services. The Australian Relief Organisation provided family gift packs for over 25 families.

The Massoud Foundation Australia would like to thank all our stakeholders, the newly arrived refugees, and all who attended the event.
