On 10th December 2021, The Massoud Foundation Australia organised an information session to provide COVID awareness and discuss health and wellbeing information in a welcoming environment for newly arrived refugees from Afghanistan.

Mr Stephen Bali MP, member for Blacktown was the guest of honour who welcomed the families, we also provided an opportunity for the families to engage with the Afghan Australian doctors, health practitioners, and other members of the community.

Other guest speakers included SSI (Settlement Service International), STARTTS (NSW Service for The Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors) and ARO (Australian Relief Organisation) provided care packages for over 50 for the attendees.

The Massoud Foundation Australia would like to thank the Blacktown City Council, guest speakers, the newly arrived refugees, and all who attended the event.

Our aim at The Massoud Foundation Australia is to provide aid for the newly arrived refugees and support their transition smoothly into their communities.
