Our Work in Australia

The Massoud Foundation is bent to expand its activities in Australia to work with the diaspora of Afghanistan in Australia and Australian citizens who share the ideals of Massoud.​

  1. The Massoud Foundation Australia is providing a range of support services to newly arrived refugees in Australia
  2. Resource Centre in Blacktown that will provide one on one support and referrals to existing support services

  3. Afghan women’s information sessions covering topics of interest

  4. Activities including sporting events, art-based activities, and outdoor educational activities for Afghan children and young people

  5. Information sessions to provide prevention and early intervention of family conflict

  6. Hosting key events and celebrations to foster community engagement and connections between newly arrived refugees and the wider Australian community

Applications for MFA’s Youth Leadership Program are now open. The program provides in-depth leadership training and enables participants to head their very own program with internal guidance from mentors and the assistance of well-reputed organisations such as ISRA, MYAN, and STARTTS.

We are looking for enthusiastic and community-minded Afghan youth (both male and female) aged 16-25.
