Extremely glad to share that our Youth Ambassador retreat was a great success! We visited the Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation this past weekend with a whopping group of 25 youth leaders, friends, and family.

The youth leaders had two amazing workshops covering Media Training and Incidental Counselling. On top of that, we held many fun (and friendship-testing) activities including archery tag, indoor soccer, sunset at the beach, and most importantly an intense game of mafia.

It was great to have a weekend away with everyone. Often we get carried away in our everyday lives with work and other responsibilities and rarely do we get a chance to sit down and spend quality time with one another. This camp really facilitated the latter and we feel a lot closer to all of the youth leaders and some great memories were made.

Sincere thanks to our youth leaders for their attendance, they are what made the camp so great, and the Australian Relief Organisation for facilitating the transportation.

Youth Leader’s feedback:

“Great experience at the retreat and the girls were still talking about the mafia game on the way back home” – Bahar

“Loved getting to know everyone better” – Aarizo

“I like to take this chance to say thanks to Bilal, Mohamed and Elham, and other youth leaders for organising such wonderful events for us. I truly enjoyed attending it.” – Najib
